How the profits from the sale of the DVD's and donation are used:
2007-2008 Update: Nestor's Education Fund: Nestor passed his BAC last year. The BAC is the exit exam for high school in France and is necessary to go on to college. It is extraordinary that he passed considering that Benin requires it's students to take the same test they give to students in Paris despite the economic challenges they face. Schools have much less funding in Benin than in France. The result is that classes are much more crowded, teachers have less training and much less resources. The fact that Nestor passed attests to his hard work and commitment to his education. 3/20/08- Nestor has now finished more than half of his first year in college. He is doing very well and is enjoying it. He's studying accounting and management at a private university in Abomey-Calavi. It's about an hour taxi ride from his family in Allada and he comes home every few weeks to visit. He is very grateful for all the donations he's received and the people who have purchased DVD's. He is very well aware that he would not still be in school if he did not have their support.

Medical Expenses: Since I started selling the DVD's in 2005, I have sent enough money to pay for 50 medical treatments which include visits to the doctor, stays in the hospital and purchase of medicines for a variety of medical problems. 33 different people have benefited from this medical care. Without this money they would only have been able to go if they were deathly ill and it would have been an extreme hardship on their families financially. The average cost of these treatments was only $18 each.
