Salut Jacques,

Tu as raison.

I was searching for more information about Benin which led me to your websites which was thoroughly enjoyable to view
and read about your experiences as a PCV and as a returning tourist. I want to commend
you for a job well done on making our Labor Day Weekend very special because
of the Katrina recovery and gas shortage we had here in Alabama. My wife and children feel after
looking through your websites we have already been on a journey to Benin and had
a good cross cultural introduction.

I can relate to a lot of what you experienced... been there and done that.... on traveling
and adjusting to the local life abroad. I laughed and smiled at a lot of what you wrote.
Thank you for a special trip to Benin! I downloaded all of your digital photos and any
others I could find for a special slide show on my laptop about Benin and what it is
like. My daughters are planning to do a special assignment about Benin at school based on your website.

Those dogs are so cute. It makes me want to try importing some myself
except I would do it for pets and conversation pieces. I didn't know it could be done
with our tough importation laws. Thanks!!!

Thanks for this site! I spent 6 weeks in Benin in 2001, and wished I'd been able to learn some Fon ahead of time. It makes me smile to listen to the audio clips: it's like being back in Cotonou! Wish there were full length tapes out there...
