The Showing of the "Discovering Benin" video at the Maison des Jeunes in Allada, Benin, July 17th, 2005

All of these people appeared in the video (Mostly episode #1)  Only one household in the whole extended family compound has a television so most of the people have had very little access to television.  If just watching TV is a special occasion for them, you can only imagine how happy they must have been to see themselves singing and dancing in a documentary made in the United States!!  Nestor assures me they we ecstatic as you can see yourself in the below pictures.

Nestor is changing video tapes.  I sent him the money to rent the Maison de Jeunes as well as the VCR and TV.

They liked it so much they asked to see it again.  Perhaps Nestor and I will organize another showing next year.
